Fabulous service from Sam and the team. A totally different customer service experience than have ever had elsewhere. From the moment we phoned to enquire about the vehicle they made us feel that they genuinely wanted to help us find the right vehicle for us. No pushy sales talk, plenty of time to look around the vehicle. Sam is clearly very knowledgeable especially about Landrovers. He and Jayc took time to answer all our questions. They went above and beyond in preparing the vehicle and changed belts that most other garages wouldn't have bothered to. The vehicle required 2 new tyres for MOT and again, unlike other garages, they contacted us and said they would be putting budget tyres on but gave us the option to pay for better ones if we wanted. On pick up day they were on hand to help with taxing the vehicle online ( I hate technology!) and had even put fuel in although there was a garage just a couple of mins away. Their attention to detail was not just about the car but also to their customer experience. Would highly recommend Smithfield. We will be returning!

He even arranged for the original silver wheels to be sprayed in black before we collected the vehicle. Oh and a complementary valeting kit was a real nice touch!

We purchased a Range Rover from Smithfield Motors back in Jan 2023 and have had a full year with no problems with the car. Just took it back there for service and MOT to which car past with no issues. We also have another vehicle which we had a problem getting started at home. Spoke to Sam and he arranged to come out to us the following day. He diagnosed the fault which turned out to be the starter motor and said he would hopefully source one and come back later in the day. A couple of hours passed and he was back, ten minutes later all fixed! All done on our drive! Really can't ask for more and like many people have said Sam and the team go out of their way and offer a fantastic all round service.

We were given as long as we wanted to look round the car that had only recently arrived in stock. We agreed a deal with Sam to include 3 months warranty, a full service, MOT and rectification of few cosmetic bodywork issues. Images of the car were sent to us the day before collection for review, and we were asked to check the car over again to be sure we were satisfied with the work before making the final payment. We had a really good experience from Sam and Smithfield Motors when we purchased our Audi A6. Sam was accommodating and honest from when we first spoke to him about the car, and once we decided we wanted to move forward, Sam opened up on his day off which worked better for us given we had a couple of hours drive from Cambridgeshire. When we arrived, Sam really let us take our time, have a good look at the car, let us take it for a drive before eventually agreeing to buy. Fingers crossed we don't have any issues with the car although if we do we're really confident in Sam and being able to get in touch with him. Bought a Porsche Cayman 981 from Sam and team, who couldn't have been more helpful - before, during and after the sale. I'd read all the positive reviews before travelling up from the south of England to view the car and found everything exactly as described. The car had been extremely well prepared and when I arrived I was able to take as much time as I wanted going over everything with no one looking over my shoulder, though Sam was around to answer any questions. Fair price, and extremely good and friendly service - couldn't have asked for more throughout the entire process. Would thoroughly recommend.

From finding our perfect car online at smithfield motors couldn't of been any better. We contacted the garage about our car and because we lived a couple of hours away, Sam sent us a detailed video inside and out of the vehicle. We travelled down a few days later to buy it. On collection there was a tiny issue but this was delt with promptly and professionally allowing us to take the vehicle away the same day. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Had a really seamless experience with Smithfield Motors. Purchased an Audi A4 last week. Sam was really helpful and went the extra mile to ensure I was happy with the car. Timing belt, water pump and MOT freshly done on purchase. Warranty and Breakdown cover came with the car. Once I drove away I noticed the Air con wasn't working properly, rang Sam and he offered to cover the cost of an Air con regas, sent the invoice over and was paid from his pocket. He had every right to leave it to me to deal with as the car was already paid for, but he ensured I was happy even after the purchase. This sums up the whole experience.

There was no pushy sales, hidden catches or anything like that. Sam was just honest, helpful and transparent throughout the whole process.

I came from Leeds which is quite far away, but the guys were flexible with the timings and catered to my situation. The distance was well worth it for that extra peace of mind. Buying from an honest and helpful dealership made all the difference. Couldn't recommend Sam and the team enough, even if you're not close by. Thanks again guys!

Recently purchased a Ferrari California from Smithfield motors , Sam had my c63 and triumph 1200 scrambler motorcycle in part exchange.
From the test drive to sorting out number plate changes , finance , collecting the car the whole experience was fantastic.
After a few weeks there was a noise from the rear of the car . A quick phone call and they had it back to look at . Ordered new wheel bearings/hub , all fitted and back with me in 4 Days . I couldn't recommend these guys enough.

Just been to Smithfield garage (off Shrewsbury road) to get some engine coolant for my car I phoned up to see if they had any in stock I was phoned back 5 minutes later to say they had & to bring my car down I was met by Sam the owner & was met with a handshake & warm welcome
Once Sam had filled the coolant bowl I asked how much & was told NOTHING I insisted on paying but Sam would not accept so I thanked him & said he will see me in the near future

Sam runs a very personable and professional auto business. I drove up from Dorking to inspect a used XC70 Volvo. These are no longer manufactured and was expecting to see some wear and tear. As promised, the car was immaculate inside and out. We took it on a test drive and everything met expectation. I was impressed by Sam's care and size of his operation which includes sales (predominantly of used premium marques), as well as a well maintained and clear auto repair and service business. We recently purchased a Range Rover from Sam (my dream car), and he certainly lives up to his reviews. Very friendly, no hard sell, no sales spiel, he simply pulled the car out for us, handed us the keys, told us to have a look around and left us to it. He gave us an honest part ex for our car, added another three months warranty, and the deal was done. Any snags that we found were promptly dealt with. Two days later a fresh MOT was applied along with a full service. When we went to collect our new car it was spotlessly valeted, the kettle went on and Sam dealt with all the V5/tax/tax rebate, the works. I even purchased a set of after market door handle covers (not from Sam) and he insisted that I brought the car back for him to fit them, and quickly sorted a problem with the fuel filler. All in all, a first class service from Smithfield Motors, what I would call an honest, traditional independent car sales company, and I know if I have any queries then Sam will be more than happy to help. Honesty and friendliness are hard to come by these days, but you would be hard pressed to find a better car dealer in the area. Thanks Sam for making my dream come true.
